Description:

This framed vintage reproduction of Vrients’ Orbis Terrae Compendiosa Descriptio captures one of the most iconic late Renaissance depictions of the known world. The map combines cartographic detail with artistic flourishes, reflecting the age of exploration and European expansion. The hemispheres are surrounded by vivid allegories of the continents, mythological references, and a decorative constellation chart. While not an original 16th-century engraving, this 1950s reproduction remains a collectible piece for enthusiasts of cartographic history and mid-century design, offering an accessible way to own a striking work of antique map art.
