Description:
A charming sugar bowl from the Elizabethan Brown series by Barratts of Staffordshire, produced in the heart of the English Potteries between the 1950s and 1970s. The piece is richly decorated in a sepia-toned transferware pattern featuring idyllic English countryside cottages framed by floral borders. With its twin-handled form and domed lid, it embodies the rustic yet elegant charm of Staffordshire pottery.

Founded in Burslem in 1943 by William Barratt, Barratts became known for accessible, decorative earthenware that carried forward centuries of Staffordshire tradition. This sugar bowl captures the heritage of English tableware and would make a beautiful addition to a vintage tea service or a striking standalone display in a kitchen or dresser setting.
