Subject Matter: Impressionist still life scene depicting a woman seated at a table in a Mediterranean-inspired garden, with a black-and-white cat nearby and lush foliage in the background. A red earthenware pot rests on the table, enhancing the rustic charm.

Condition: The painting appears well preserved, though with expected age-related wear. The reverse shows a canvas board backing from Daler (Superior Canvas Board, 20 x 16), confirming period materials.

Framing Details: Displayed in a gilt and painted wooden frame with bevelled edges, complementing the warm tones of the composition.

Provenance:

A handwritten receipt attached to the reverse documents a sale for £50 to Mr. John Churchill from D.A. Wilson, dated 5th July 1986 (Cat. 76).

A Trevor Rush Gallery label remains affixed to the backboard, suggesting past gallery handling and an earlier marked price of £18.
