Description:
This fine mid-19th century hand-coloured steel engraving illustrates Cymbeline, Act II Scene 2, one of William Shakespeare’s more rarely performed plays. The work captures Iachimo’s deceit as he spies on the innocent Imogen, rendered in exquisite Victorian engraving detail and later enriched with subtle hand colouring. The oak and acorn border adds a decorative and symbolic flourish, enhancing its literary and artistic value.

An evocative collector’s piece ideal for enthusiasts of Shakespeare, 19th-century engraving, or period theatrical illustration.
